Priory Church Queensferry
Welcome
The Priory Church is a community of people in Queensferry learning to trust and follow Jesus. We’re finding out how to do life with God in his Kingdom, right here and now.
We gather for modern worship in an ancient location: the Priory Church was first built to house a different community of people intentionally following Jesus. It was a landmark place of welcome and refuge on the pilgrim routes across the Forth, and served at the heart of the local community.
Now, almost 600 years later, we still gather right between the bridges, and still seek to love God and our Queensferry neighbours.
Welcome to the Priory Church!
Sunday April 19
Our 10.30am and 4pm services are in the Garden Room – and Scratch Choir Sunday is back!
If you enjoy singing in a friendly church group, please come along to the Garden Room at 9.30am, when we’ll go through the music for the service which starts as normal at 10.30am.
At 4pm, it’s our contemporary music service – just come on in to the Garden Room as usual.
And as ever there’s coffee after both worship times too: please plan to stay for a chat. if you can.

Sunday Morning
Join us on Sunday morning at 10.30 for a time of worship with words, new songs and older hymns, Bible teaching and Holy Communion, and it lasts up to 1½ hours. There is coffee time too – a chance to make new contacts and friends – in the Garden Room.
You can also join in online: please email info@priorychurch.org for a Zoom link.

Thursday Morning
At 10am on Thursday we meet in the Garden Room for some Bible and prayer time . We take one of the day’s readings and explore it together – all with view to getting to know God and living his kind of life. It lasts about 1 hour, and there’s plenty of time for coffee and chat afterwords too.

Foodbank
‘Every Thursday morning, from 11am-1pm, in conjunction with Edinburgh Food Project, the Foodbank is open from 11am-1pm for anyone who needs a helping hand. It’s friendly and non-judgmental, and referrals can be arranged if you’re coming for the first time.
Opening Now…
We’re excited to be pioneering some new initiatives at the Priory right now – please read on – and get involved!

Sunday Afternoon
Priory4 is our Sunday afternoon gathering at 4pm. It lasts about 1½ hours, and involves a more informal time of worship and Bible teaching. There is a group – Priory4Kids – for children, aged 4-11 (with a group for those aged 11-16 to come) as well as time for everyone to join together for worship and Communion.
In addition, Queensferry’s joint Messy Church takes place in the Prory on the first Sunday of every month at 4pm: kids, bring your adults!

Community Meal
Our new ‘Priory Table’ Community Meal is now available!
Every Thursday between 12 and 2pm you’re welcome to join us in the Garden Room to enjoy a good, hot meal in a safe, friendly space in the company of others from across our community.
Maybe you’re feeling a bit isolated, or could do with a free meal this week: just come along!
We operate the Priory Table in conjunction with Edinburgh Food Project, and various food supply agencies.

Lifeboat
For those who find church difficult for any reason, we have launched a group called Lifeboat: it’s a friendly gathering in the Garden Room on Thursday evenings, running from 7.30-9pm.
There’s no formal church stuff; it’s a just chance to talk, share and ask questions in a supportive, non-pressured environment.
